Exploring the Production Factory of Gaoyi’s Single-Layer Eco-Friendly Paper Straws

When traditional paper straws were relentlessly criticized by domestic users for their poor performance, Gaoyi’s single-layer eco-friendly paper straws were introduced to the market after two years of development—representing an “upgrade” for the paper straw industry.

So how are these new-generation straws produced? And what advantages do they hold over traditional paper straws? Today, we take an on-site tour of Gaoyi’s production workshop to find out.

Gaoyi’s factory is located in Gaochun District, Nanjing, set in a pleasant and well-designed environment. The workshops are positioned on both sides of the main office building, housing multiple production lines along with dedicated packaging and sorting lines. To give visiting guests a closer look at the manufacturing process, the factory has built a fully transparent observation corridor, offering a panoramic view of the workshop and a comprehensive understanding of the entire production process of single-layer, plastic-free paper straws.

Inside the workshop, the entire environment is fully enclosed and dust-free. Operators are required to wear specialized cleanroom uniforms and enter through designated air-shower passages, while goods are transferred through separate air-shower exits into the finished product warehouse. This ensures that every step of production is carried out under strict hygienic standards, guaranteeing safety and reliability.

Quality control is another cornerstone of Gaoyi’s operations. Each production batch undergoes random sampling, where straws are tested for water resistance, durability, and appearance. Only those that meet rigorous standards are cleared for distribution, ensuring consistency and high quality in every straw delivered to market.

What makes Gaoyi’s straws particularly distinctive is that all of the equipment used in the production process is independently developed in-house. With full automation and only minimal manual intervention required, the factory achieves high-speed, efficient production capable of meeting large-scale customer demand.
